Feels like they took Atomic Blonde and dumped a truckload of Hanna into it.

What if the interrogation scene occurs before the events of Civil War? Maybe immediately after Ultron blows up Klaue’s operation in Wakanda, they take him in for questioning.

They are really proud of that car flip. My only complaint about this film is that that scene is so overplayed in the trailers that I really won’t care when it happens in the movie.

Any opportunity to just say the name “Garth of Izar”, really.

I have, but we have never seen a ship that looks like that before. Even though it will likely turn out to be that very Defiant, altered by the Empire over time.

If by awful idea you mean the best idea ever.

I’ve been toying with the notion that Discovery is in the unaltered Alternate Universe that the Kelvin Timeline originated from.

It would make a lot of sense if it was the Prime Defiant, modified by the Terran Empire over the course of 90 years. Even though it’s very old at the point in time Discovery is at, it’s still tech that can go toe to toe with the present-day Empire & Starfleet. Probably has 18 torpedo tubes now too.

There’s a lot of hints in this episode that Lorca may have intentionally meant for the crew to come to the Mirror Universe. In fact, given that his Mirror self went missing after killing Mirror Burnham, there’s even a possibility that our Lorca is actually Mirror Lorca. I kinda hope that’s not the case. Thanks to

Surveillance in Star Trek isn’t about having cameras everywhere. It’s about access codes, and logs, and reading after-the-fact records of what went on in a certain part of the ship.

That would make Discovery feel even more insular. It would be better to draw a reference from Enterprise or The Original Series. Mentioning the Defiant was a step in the right direction, even though it was no Defiant we’ve ever seen before.

Star Trek 4 and Tarantino’s pitch are not the same movie.

During late night sessions with my friends, we would always double over in laughter at how the guards simply would not stop making extra sure Bond was dead. If only their movie counterparts were that thorough.

I love the Metal Gear franchise in every way. But holy fucking crap, that is way too much god damn information!

The Metal Gear one is sublime. I don’t know how to describe how I feel right now.

I want the film to open with him wearing an Imperial uniform... just long enough to sneak past a patrol and steal a ship from right under the Empire’s nose. He then noses through the crew cabin, finds the vest, and just keeps it.

I do now.
