Let’s call this a wash and be thankful he didn’t ask her to do one of his godawful, hacky lip-sync battles.

Yeah, it’s much harder to take unarmed teenagers alive if they’re, like, jaywalking or something but kudos to them for this one.

HE IS BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT AND BROODY AND THINKING AND JUST SO VERY VERY. PLEASE TAKE THIS COMMENT BACK AND APOLOGIZE

This asshole is too much a coward to martyr himself.

Some people are saying that the Trump campaign set off these bombs to distract us from the NAMBLA issue. Some of our best people are saying that.

If it wouldn’t be a massive waste of time and resources, I’d love to see the FBI go “oh yeah, well if you knew about it before it happened, we’ll have to assume you were involved and investigate”.

Whenever there is an attack, I always “hope” (probably not the best word here, but it’ll have to do) the suspect will be white and not have an Islamic-sounding name. Damnit. As if we needed more fodder for islamophobia.

Raise your hand if you received an alert approximately 12 minutes ago! Seriously though, kudos to the authorities for the timed release of information.

I went into remission about a year ago. I also have anxiety. These combine to result in me thinking about what it would be like for my family if I surviced cancer only to die in a car accident or something. I lie awake some nights thinking about how horrific that would be for my loved ones.

Thank you for explaining the television

I’m a lot more confident in my ability to run from a knife than I am in my ability to run from bullets.

Yeah, he’s doing a kinder, softer version of his Colbert Report persona a lot of the time, and I think is incredibly well meaning, but I don’t blame his non-white guests for not always wanting to be part of a teachable moment for his (presumably mostly) white audience when they’re promoting a show. And I do think

Her tweet is literally the only time I’ve seen “I’m not PC but...” used in a sentence where the second half didn’t make me go wait what.

what about your other parents?

No, I was not being sarcastic. I am a woman, a woman of color in fact. I work with mostly men and I have received the help of some men during my career. I don’t see anything wrong with it. As I said before, some men realize that there is sexism. I don’t see it as depending on men, I see it as buddies helping buddies.

Internalized misogyny. I did this too before I realized that I would also be treated like shit no matter how “different" I thought I was from other women. And that criticism of women is skewed.

As Hachi said earlier, it's difficult to do this when there aren't enough women around to amplify.

What I love most about living in America is that I don’t have to choose between confirmation of pro-athlete rapist stereotypes and finance bro rapist stereotypes.

I'd like to say that the number of people who are either okay with, or have a preference with, unconscious women is astounding had I not once awakened to the sight of two men pulling off my jeans after passing out at a party. I have always felt to blame.
