I don’t doubt the relevance, but it still feels a little too ‘sweet’ for me (granted, I haven’t read the book, just this piece). I appreciate your point, but (imo) the chains don’t appear grisly — they seem really thin, in fact, and not very strong.
My boyfriend has never liked marshmallows and now I understand why.

I liked Nocturnal Animals a lot, so grain of salt and all that, but A Single Man is one of the closest things I’ve seen to a perfect movie. I can see why people wouldn’t like NA, but give ASM a try if you can.
