Exactly. They are basically trying to get more money for nothing. If people understand what is going on (and many won’t) they should be working very hard to get this stopped.

They already do pay more via the broadband throughput amount. Putting a cap on the total data you can use in a month is nickle and diming. Most people won’t be aware of the cap or how to manage it. Also, outside factors can affect the amount of broadband that you use and can sometimes be out of your control.
Viruses and other attacks can affect the bandwidth.
I will buy more DVDs, and I will find a provider that doesn’t have a cap.
That should be enforced in the broadband throughput cap. If they can’t provide it they shouldn’t sell it.
