Or they could....like...pay the writers and actors?

I’ve read rumblings that Apple and Amazon may side step the AMPTP and make separate deals with the unions which would be fantastic for their services. Then they could get back to work feeding a hungry viewership with little competition, while the rest of the AMPTP fumbles about.
Its not the internets fault, its the permissiveness people and those like Trump and MANY before him that have consistently put forth the idea that theres no way to stop this. Sure there is.. hire some researchers to track down the IPs and drop a $10k fine on those that are proven to be doing it.
Instead we practically…
It’s all the internet’s fault. It has allowed nutjobs of all sorts to gather and feed on their shared mania. In the old days a nutjob with a conspiracy theory was a loner with no friends, now he can go online to a forum, Twitter or a chat room and share his crazy theories with other gullible people who feed on each…
Even better. They are saying “our song isn’t about lynching and we will lynch anyone who says otherwise!”
Because “small town” is just a dog whistle for a sundown town.
Seriously. All I can figure is that the sameness makes everything seem alright. If you’re afraid of anything different, seeing the same familiar faces every day is like heaven.
Conservatives believing literally any stupid shit.
They’re legitimately some of the dumbest, weakest motherfuckers in existence.
The Deadline piece is why the WGA should be pushing for negotiations. They will almost certainly end up filing an NLRB complaint that AMPAS negotiated in bad faith, but actually trying to get them to negotiate would make that complaint stronger than quoting Deadline.
Are these “anonymous studio executives” aware that the trades aren’t physical magazines anymore? These articles are posted online for everyone to see, and absolutely no one is going to be on the side of the studios who openly talk about icing out the writers until they lose their homes.
There’s something Shakespearean about Musk. He for years paid people to cultivate the image of him as a “maverick innovator” buying him guest spots on SNL, the Simpsons, Star Trek, etc. The PR people running this campaign for him knew well that “the less you see and hear from him the better” as he’d immediately…
No, this is clearly an ad campaign by monosodium glutemate trying to rehabilitate its image.
MSG = Madison Square Garden, for anyone else wondering why none of the endless reporting on this thing defines the acronym.
You uh, haven’t seen any of Villeneuve’s other movies, have you? His pacing is a deliberate choice that he employs in every one of his movies. I won’t fault a person for not enjoying his slower, more deliberate style. But he and Alex Garland are two of the absolute best sci-fi filmmakers we have right now.
I think the Villeneuve movie is definitely a better adaptation of the book. He’d been a Dune fan since he was thirteen and there are probably shots in these movies that had been in his head for decades. I enjoyed Part One and I’m looking forward to Part Two.
It’s not pressure than causes problems, it’s pressure differences. Any pieces that blew off suddenly had the same pressure on all sides, and no longer had large forces acting on it.
Search and rescue teams searched a 900 sq-foot area over four days
What do you mean, not run by smart people? The people running this company are rich. You can’t get rich unless you’re really smart.
You could also just like, pay your writers and give them fair deals? But I guess delaying all your massive movies makes sense, too.
