OK, I'll try to give a thoughtful answer to your points - but I have to say, some of these are truly rather obvious:

Ugh… The Bridge is decent at best - nothing close to the level of quality of story-telling in Rectify.
1) If Trey is not attempting a frame of Daniel, he's doing a lot of very strange things. Why tamper with the original crime scene at all? The only other explanation I can surmise is that he doesn't want the body ever to be found.
Daniel is a convicted killer and George testified against him (and would have, ostensibly, testified against him again).. Trey, OTOH, has no obvious motive to kill George.
I don't think she's his mistress (I don't think he lives in Paulie) - just the occasional hook-up (for cash - although not spoken of as such). Still, he'll likely be unhappy (to say the least) if he finds out.
My four favorite humorous responses from Aden Young when asked about people complaining about the slow pace of the show:
"…and while the silences still feel earned, it also feels like it’s time to offer a bit more in the way of plot. "
"See, I don't think the core problem here is with plotting so much as execution."
To me, it feels as if the main discontinuities in the series have stemmed from the overall plotting.
"Yes, this episode was more fun than previous ones, but that's because it was broader and less ambitious, reaching for easy gags and cheap sentiment instead of realism."
As far as accents go, it's bad either way; I would never say otherwise. But if you don't think that the number of British actors that can do a good American accent is very rare, you're sadly mistaken (it always feels worse when it's your native accent).
Dennis left out one tiny, slightly-humorous piece:
When Donna types, "Find my way back"
The computer replies, "I'm sorry, Donna. I did not find a program called My Way Back."
Just to fill in one tiny, missing, slightly-humorous piece:

I've been to both good AND bad parties both North AND South of the Mason-Dixon line. ;P
"I hope she stops by his bookstore sometime (which he doesn't have)."
I get your points, Trilby, even though I disagree. I have a soft spot for Rippy because of Deadwood (and I think now, with his appearance here, Rectify passes Justified in it's total number of Deadwood alums involved), but I can totally see how he could be grating.
Your dislike of the actor aside, I'm not sure you can dismiss Lezlie purely as a negative influence on Daniel: like Peggy in Atlanta, he was trying to help Daniel join the human race again (and that involves parties, drugs, and guns as much as book clubs and museums).
Bolton. Lezley shot the Spin Doctors.
"Maybe it's just me, …"
Absolutely! Just not in the shot shown in the still above - which is clearly Young and Rippy cracking up.
