I haven't seen anyone mention this yet - but they still haven't revealed who the other 2 masked man that beat Daniel were (we know 3 of them). I'm wondering if the other police officer (deputy?) might be one of them.

I just heard in the Mark Johnson interview posted above that she was also Australian - I had no idea (although I knew Aden Young was). Fascinating - they are the standouts in a strong ensemble cast.
But they have been giving clues: Trey is certainly either the killer - or an accessory to the killing - since they've already shown him committing several felonies (e.g. hiding George's body; tampering with evidence, etc). If Trey was innocent of those charges - and his only connection to the crime was, as he stated,…
Yes, and I'm fascinated by the prospect that he will be a new and slightly different man - changed by his 'conversation' with Kerwin - having finally accepted the premise that he wants to reclaim his life. McKinnon and Young have hinted at a new Daniel emerging.
Well put.
Yes. And I think it was a brave move for McKinnon to have Daniel do that to Teddy. Not only did it add a dark undercurrent to Daniel (who, aside from that one act, was pretty saintly) - but it also created a major obstacle to the family ever being united. I wonder if/how Daniel and Teddy can ever get past it.
I've heard that Sundance only released the first 3 episodes of this season to critics - so I doubt he's seen the full season.

Yes - but let's give a shout out for Johnny Ray Gill too. The deep, resonant friendship between Daniel and Kerwin wouldn't be as moving without him as well.
The fact that you watched the HIMYM finale tells me all I need to know about your judgement and critical reasoning skills.
Wrong.
