Wow… you're coming across as much more of a prick than I did - since, um… I didn't call you names.

You realize he's extremely heavily made-up in A.I., right?
Great soundtrack - as well as fantastic sound design. The overall sound work was simply some of the best I've heard in a TV series - as beautiful as the cinematography. For anyone interested in sound design for television, it should be must-see/hear.
I never found it to be a slog - quite the contrary - but I can imagine why some people might. It's certainly not a conventional narrative (most people are expecting House of Cards: Vatican Edition), but then there are so many of those types of shows already, this seemed a bit of fresh (albeit incensed) air to me.
Second series already green-lit and in production.
You obviously haven't watched the show, since this is not anti-Catholic by any stretch of the imagination (I've seen the whole thing). On the contrary, while it does poke fun at the pomp and circumstance surrounding Catholicism, and it does pose questions about the wealth and responsibilities of the church, overall, I…
I've watched the whole series and he looks very good for his age (granted, with a hairpiece - he's been balding for some time) and not much different than his younger self (chubbier face, of course, but other actors look much worse after 20 years).
I'm not sure why you haven't heard the news, but not only is there definitely a Series 2, they've already started working on it.
Always say yes to adding more tongues!
It immediately changes (and gets much better) after the pilot, dropping the procedural element entirely - since all of the other episodes were developed for Netflix with Graham Yost and others from the Justified team on board.
The tonal / conceptual shifts are all pure Sorrentino - and I thought they were great and made sense to the Pope's arc (and a compelling one-off, finished story) - although I'd agree that the narrative was a little choppy at times, and could have benefited from a few more scenes to bridge certain constructs.
"…and totally responsible for any and all buzz around the show."
You're discovering this 1.5 years since it was announced and after they've started airing it? I'd say that pretty much disqualifies you from possessing any actual knowledge about anything related to the show.
Bullets travel faster than the speed of sound. Despite decades of hokey TV shows and films to the contrary, it's virtually impossible to jump in front of one (at that distance). Even if the old lady had simply pulled the trigger after she saw Mary begin to jump, Sherlock would have been shot.
I'd be the first to admit that I can be stubborn, a know-it-all, and an asshole (and more) - often simultaneously. I come from a large family, so that (partially) explains my argumentative, pig-headed disposition.
Perhaps if humanity had anything other than the truly abysmal record it has at tolerance and celebrating diversity, subtle would make sense. At this point in our history, the more people yelling the better.
All criticism is definitely not equal; you're confusing the existence of the internet with a skill.
Wow… I take the time to post a polite rebuttal to your post, thinking you might actually engage in some dialogue, but instead you simply respond with insults, a bucketful of fallacies, and other fatuous tripe. Very classy, "dude".
Yeah, it's a problem for a large percentage of TV shows that continue past 3-5 seasons. With Showtime's series, it just seems to be a baked-in part of their formula.
Still responding with vapid and imbecilic insults?
