I know where FTNL is coming from. Right down to the shaky panic attack the first time I thought it was gonna go down.
I liked Longshot, cliched and hokey though it may be... well, until the end. I didn’t like that no matter how well you did (or how much you save scummed), (spoilers?) you would only get drafted at the end of the 7th or not at all. I also didn’t like how it doesn’t transition into Franchise mode.
