Hey Rob!  Love these NP/CP articles.  On this one - one key info on this car - the warranty.  Can you add the warranty to the article to clear up some confusion in the comments?  I believe battery and motor warranty is 8 years / unlimited warranty.

RoRo- warranty info given in comments was wrong.  Unlimited miles, 8 years.     Maybe the author could add the correct warranty to the article to clarify?

Price out a new motor for a lot of new cars these days... installed at the dealer as this 30K price is.  It isn’t much cheaper.  Escalade 6.2 V8 - replacement at dealer 27K, BMW 5 series $20-30K, Audi S6 - calculator doesn’t go that high.

yeah, like having a pick up truck for taking trash to the dump is a novelty toy.  Owning more than one vehicle in a family, one of which is somewhat specialized is not novelty.  Every vehicle has drawbacks which is why many of us have multiple types of vehicles.  There are also some that have 2.5 vehicles per adult in

You gonna find a nice shape LJ for under $15K?  Out here, crappy LJs start at 20 and go way way way up.

Hey! That’s me!

Needs rear left quarter, rear bumper.  The rear hatch is still intact and ?functional?...  email me if you are really interested and I can go talk to them. I don’t know their current plan.

I very much appreciate the pendanticism you are throwing, but the key word solidifying the correct usage in my context is “was” denoting the fact that is was pristine when it got rear ended. Heretofore meaning that it is clearly no longer pristine hence to forthwith the aforementioned rearending. Forthwith and noted

my neighbor has the perfect donor !  Her pristine XJ with low miles was rear ended while parked in front of her house by a drunk in a new Mercedes.  He just left his car there, wedged under her XJ and walked away.  Cops found him.  She got a newer car, but the XJ sits in her driveway... It is so tempting for me, but

NO WAY! You clearly never played hockey. Anyone who has ever carried a hockey bag knows better than to let it share immediate air space with passengers. Putting that smellsack in the trunk is questionable, but in the cab with the baby? HELL NO. The only real place for a hockey bag after a game is in the bed of a

Damn!  That looks great!

A few local to me options: - these are all RWD, V6 or V8 Large sedans that are sporty. Newfangled baby seats are no joke.  The do not do well in the smaller cars if you want 2 adults to fit comfy in the front seats.  Yes, a baby seat will fit in a smaller car, but it is far from fun or comfy for the front seat

My world has just collapsed, exploded, been sucked in to a black hole, gone through a time warp and come out the other side. This is not something I ever knew existed. And now I am a changed person. I don’t know who I am anymore, or what I am going to do with the rest of my life.

personal message sent in response to video is pretty cool.  LH must get 10,000 messages a day.  He took the time to reply.  Thats something.

We should breakfast together. Add some smooth coffee and it’s a dream morning.

Imagine if auto manufacturer X had built the fuel cell vehicle AND helped to build the required infrastructure required to make those cars usable instead of waiting on the Gov’t or other companies to do it for them.  In the not to distant future, after releasing the cars and helping to build the refueling stations,

This typo is fantastic!

David - if you find yourself in San Diego and would like to drive a mostly original 2001 R/T - I’ve got one sitting in the driveway with nearly 150K miles on it. It’s far from perfect, but I still love it!  Bought one new in 1999, got rid of it and finally got another one a few years back.

I hate that this is my reality...

Do you expect that to change if the numbers go up over time?  Say a family buys several (5-10) cars from the same dealer in a 3 year timeframe?  Or, the deal is the deal, regardless of quantity?
