As mentioned above, a true pyramid scheme actually isn’t selling a product at all - these direct sales things are close but they actually do sell something - cookware, make up, clothes, cleaning products.

Is this not the same business model as Amway - a product to sell direct but the more sales people you bring in under you, the more money you make?

Which, incidentally, is one of the basic tenants of Christianity. Another of which is that it isn’t up to us to judge/punish, that’s god’s job.

Not sure that having a legal license for gun toting would make a big difference here. The mere fact of so many guns in the country makes it pretty easy to acquire a fire arm if one is very motivated to do so.
