I agree about basic dental care for all. There are numerous programs in place to assist people who can’t afford dental visits. Most schools, for example, have a dental visiting team that will check kids in class that don’t have dental coverage and make sure that their needs are met. Vision care for seniors is covered…

That Louise Hay person is evil.  A well meaning friend pushed this book to me when I was suffering from depression after massive cancer treatment. I was appalled by its contents. It basically said that if you had cancer, it was your own fault.

because (and rightfully so) purely cosmetic treatments, treatments that require access to outside systems, private rooms for patients that normally would not require such for recovery, etc.; so things not generally covered completely by a single-payer system would still be on the table for them.
