Generally if you see someone supporting a racist fuckwit who is bad for literally the entire planet, its a good thing to call them out and make a big deal out of it.

Nothing to do with the whole Trump thing, but I wouldn’t be Russian to buy it.
Played XII back when I’m still in teenage years, don’t understand the Gambit system, the combat system and the politic heavy story, and back then as a teen, I prefer the animu story of most JRPG and traditional Turn Based combat. Now, 11 years later, my body is ready.
Well said
“Hello, Floyd, I am an idiot. Can I make my $90 directly payable to the IRS?”
I got a lot shit years back for loving this game (mostly be people who never really gave it an honest chance), so I’m glad it’s getting some shine haha. One of my all time favorite FFs, and in some facets my #1. And I loved the relative quaintness of the story; it was mostly a big political drama, which to me was a…
Enter Super Mario. I’m only half kidding.
Nah, Vaan just tags along with the party in the vague hope he’ll end up with an airship/revenge. Yeah he’s a dumbass, but he doesn’t open his mouth too much.
Penelo might literally be the most useless and pointless character in a FF game. I remember getting to the end game and getting my party ready to take on the three endgame bosses, so I was leveling up the party members I don’t normally use in case I needed to swap out one that died mid-fight. I was about 80 hours in…
This is easily in my top 3 Final Fantasies of all time. It is without a doubt the one I enjoyed most as a game whereas the others I enjoyed more for their plot/stories.
Vaan was too bland and forgettable to be the worst protagonist.
That’d be amazing. And imagine if instead of Vaan, you have his brother Reks - he was still gravely injured in the opening sequence, but wakes from a coma a couple years later to find the country greatly changed and can’t trust Basch (and since he’s trying to be straightlaced and honorable, finds Balthier’s…
I think the reception to this version of the game and the re-thinking surrounding the old “It’s a single-player MMO” critique proves that FFXII was way, way ahead of its time. It seems we’ve finally caught up to how brilliant parts of this game truly are.
There’s a beautiful meta moment about exactly halfway through the game where Balthier asks Vaan why he’s even there, and the rest of the party just looks at him and leaves. Vaan never has an answer for this.
I love the shit out of this game, and I’m so excited to go home after work and jump into it (sorry, Persona 5 - I know I’m halfway through the final dungeon, but you’ve kind of overstayed your welcome after 90 hours, so you’ll have to wait until the weekend). I’ve been daydreaming of dual-job combinations so I can…
I’m so excited that XII is FINALLY some love. As an FF that’s easily in my top 3, I often felt that it got shat on in the years following its release for reasons I found incredibly silly. Granted, Vaan is probably the worst FF protagonist - I just always felt as though the things the game does right FAR out-measure…
I can get “It’s not my favorite”, sure, but the worst since 2? Really? Even if you count how unfinished XV feels, or the fact that most of the interesting story tidbits of the XIII trilogy are hidden in menus? I find that crazy personally, but ok.
At this point, no one should want to change the minds of Trump supporters. They are crazy people. You don’t enable crazy people by trying to logically diffuse their delusions. They need to be made irrelevant, not coddled because they are angry and ignorant.
You just *know* that the studio really wants a white guy. And that all this “we can’t find a guy after 2000 auditions” is just cover for when they announce that Aladdin will be played by Hugh Jackman.
