Sorry folks it sounds like a Celtic durge. We have no way of determining how people 1000 years ago sounded. This is all done through the lens of modern musicians and can never be authenticated. Even the guy’s Latin is unintelligible!

You’re exactly right. There were definitely different forms of music sung by the serfs, the students, the church and at court, during the same periods.

We’ll never know how any of these songs were sung. The closest we can get are lullabys that have been preserved in local communities around Europe, which mothers have been singing to their babies for 100s of years. Ring around the Rosey comes to mind. Dating back to the plagues in the 14th Century.
