Thats not true at all. These cars run a lap of Road America in ~107s. The fastest WeatherTech sports car series which is the premier road racing championship in the US run the same lap in ~115s. These cars are not slow.

I watches this one today, road course NASCAR is the only NASCAR I watch. This was a pretty good race but a great finish.

While not exciting or historically important. Patrick Depailler’s camera lap at Monte Carlo in Tyrrell P34 with out the cowl I find endlessly fascinating.

Pretty much anything with Gilles Villeneuve has my vote. Although Jacques did win the Championship, I really don’t believe there has been a racer that was exciting to watch since Gilles’ death at Zolder.

I think you are missing the point of what silly season means, but I can’t tell.

I kind of had that when Power wasn’t moving right after the crash. I knew the reason he wasn’t quick to get out of the car was that he realized he probably just lost the Championship, but that thought of “is something wrong?” still runs through your head.

Will Power and Ed Carpenter really have had some bad luck over their careers. Power and Dixon are probably the two best all around drivers in IndyCar, but Power has lost many Championships due to luck. Power needs to win the next two races if he were to even have a shot at the Championship.

Ed’s the one getting the scare when he sees his team’s crash damage bill for tonight.
