I took my son to our local splash pad this weekend and I had denim shorts on over my bathing suit. They told me I’d need to remove them

“Again, Courtney Love is no saint; she may even be a very bad person. But I have yet to see enough compelling, fact-checkable evidence to sway me from thinking that Kurt Cobain took his own life. (9/11 was an inside job, though.)“

People seem to think this is a new development on Jez, but even back in their “body snarking will get you disemvoweled days”, they loved to make fun of Prince William’s receding hairline.

Damn, Ponyboy. Johnny told you to stay gold, not do blackface.

I keep seeing stills from this, and I never heard of it before. That dude looks an awful lot like C. Thomas Howell, aka Ponyboy from the Outsiders. Please tell me it isn’t.

This whole thing is so strange.

My aunt and uncle own and run a tattoo shop and they have this policy. They have refused to give me a couple of tattoos over the years for the same reasons. They reserve the right not to do a tat if they don’t want to, for whatever reason. As long as it isn’t discriminatory, they can refuse. That’s it, the end.

I have seen a few links this morning purporting that it is a hoax, so I was unsure too. But I mean, the BBC, RollingStone, Gawker, CNN etc have all reported it, so either it’s the best hoax ever pulled off or it’s legit. The BBC article quoted sources at the hospital as well.

Best eulogy. I just got teary eyed.

You know someone is much beloved when they are 93 and people have no concept at all that they could die.

Wait...that is the exact post that someone posted on my friend’s FB. Like, the exact same phrasing and everything. And yet she claimed to be there.

Someone on my friend’s FB feed is claiming she lives nearby and that she was near the pool that day, and that it isn’t a racial issue at all, that the party was over capacity and they had a DJ who was playing loud music with lots of curse words and bad language/lyrics and that the kids were being aggressive and rowdy.

David Bowie is my favorite, and 1984 is probably his worst song. Even at its worst it is better than all of Perry and Swift’s songs put together.

I kind of agree. Like a, “I dislike you so much I wrote a song about it and I got all my famous ladyfriends to star in the video. Even Cindy Crawford and Mariska Hargitay hate you!”

I effing love her. And I actually hate almost all pop music. But her song “Stronger” is my JAM and I listen to it when I’m exercising or if I’m feeling down and out.

She’s also a big ol’ sweetheart. I’ve seen her do various tv things (Who Do You Think You Are?, a guest spot on Tricia Yearwood’s cooking show, among

Sounds like our childhoods were quite similar. My stepmom is mentally ill - she didn’t share her diagnosis with us while she was with my Dad, and if he knows he’s never told me, but I do know that after their divorce she finally did get on meds and is now doing a lot better (she even confronted me and apologized to me

I had an incredibly abusive stepmother whose favorite method of punishment was to humiliate me in front of my friends. She’d type out long lists of things I’d done wrong, lists full of rules, papers of mine from school, papers where she’d made me write lines, and so on and would tack them up on my wall. I wasn’t

Throw them off a cliff along with all the companies that only make women’s bike jersies in teal and pink with huge ugly flowers on them. Evidently all women’s cycling clothes have to be matronly and hideous.

I’m a cyclist, and both of my main bikes have been men’s bikes. As long as the frame is a good fit, it makes no difference.

He could be ten years older than he is now and I’d still hit it.
