Grunts!, by Mary Gentle. A story of Orcs finding U.S. Military hardware in a dead dragon's horde. For two-thirds of the books it's a fun romp, but then they spend a page raping elf children to death. I didn't have any more fun after "Pass me another elf, Sergeant, this one's split!"
