Maybe, just maybe, “check your privilege”is kind of a shitty thing to say to a person who’s trying to help and maybe, just maybe, alienating those people when generally they’re already on your side isn’t the best way to go about trying to further your cause.

Well of course you’re right, but why approach people on your own team who are trying to help with cynicism, sarcasm, and alienation, simply because they are white?

It’s such bullshit. It’s just another case of The Left Eating Itself. Everyone put your fucking Oppression Olympics on hold for just one fucking day and get together to protest Trump. Jesus WEPT.

“Call them out” to satisfy your ego. But when they feel less than enthused to join in your causes that they normally agree with, don’t be shocked or “call them out”.

This is exactly why we are where we are. Progressives (and I consider myself one of them) have developed an ‘all or nothing’ view of the world. If a person does not agree with or support EVERY single one of our ideologies simultaneously then we don’t want them.

Tell me how accusing white people who should be on your side of racism will help?

Well of course you’re right, but why approach people on your own team who are trying to help with cynicism, sarcasm, and alienation, simply because they are white?

Nothing makes me want to say “shut the fuck up” more than seeing a man at an anti-abortion rally. Seriously, nobody gives a fuck.

I just don’t see how an attitude of, “They’re not REALLY on our side because they’re white” helps literally anything. Insulting and alienating people on your own team only helps the other team.

White women who are attending this rally did not vote for Trump, and it does no good to fight with them as a group.

I agree. This is a big part of why democrats lose elections. The GOP gets everyone to fall in line like good little soldiers while progressives are all over the place, worried about things that may be “problematic.” I am a fan of nuance. I love critical thinking! But shit is real right now and we need to join

Really? Really? Can we ever...EVER stop eating our own? We (progressives) have the biggest single enemy (obvious) to defeat since...Christ I don’t even know who...and we’re still doing this? We’re going to criticize and alienate white people who are late to the party for being late to the party? Now is not the

Introduced to the House by the infuriating Susan Collins, my Senator and the owner of a brilliant PR machine that markets her as “moderate” while she goes ahead and votes in lockstep with her party almost every time. Sure, she didn’t support Trump and got grief for it from our Tea Party governor, but she’s got enough

It just amazes me how much time was spent on emailz, Benghazi, and the Clinton Foundation, when everything with Trump is objectively a million times worse. I just hope that now the Democrats grow a spine and give Trump the treatment that Republicans gave to Hillary.

Here’s a conspiracy (links to No. 1 and No.2):

Partisanship has finally completely killed our common sense. Especially on CNN.

I didn’t think I could loathe Trump apologists more, but these people who answer every global concern with “Ha, ha, you lost!” are moving me toward violence. Yep, we lost. Guess what? So did you.

At this point it has to be some kind of fucking joke. If only Trump was subject to the Clinton Rules, we’d have endless investigations and maybe some of those conspiracy theorists could actually do some good. Fucking unbelievable to think that only 4 years ago Republicans were screaming bloody murder in the

I can’t believe that our country is in the middle of an actual constitutional crisis, and the motherfucking Bernie Bros still want to relitigate his moral purity.

Clinton was First Lady at the time, and therefore couldn’t vote for the bill. Bernie was in the Senate, and voted for it...yet you blame Hillary? Curious
