I don't know any other languages though... if I picked up Japanese though that means I could TRY to get a job with localization (which would be AWESOME!) but I would need to major in it or something and that would mean MORE school... yeah....

My best guess is try to build up a bit of a raport with her before asking her out. Next time she waits on you, ask her quick questions. ("How are you doing?" etc) and do this for a few weeks until you ask her out. This way it's not this total stranger.

Ah, make sure you visit the town after the sepent's trench... well, visit the bar anyway. It's not plot relevant (I think) but it's a classic Cyan scene.
