My uncle has spent his life working and managing various ski patrols, and he's also an EMT. He loves the mountains, but he did develop a pretty severe case of PTSD since he's regularly carrying severely injured people and dead bodies off the mountain. Skiing is fun, but it always carries risk with it. I hope Mr.

To be fair, long, planned-in-advance obituaries of Nelson Mandela were on the front page of every major news outlet, and the people interested in him probably go to those sites without having to search in google.

When I was in a rollover crash, someone hit me going 80 miles per hour on the highway and I hit the median and flipped, I didn't see it coming. I was completely calm during the entire thing and came to upside down still uncertain as to what had happened. I eventually wiggled out of the car under my own power, still

Oh, but I was planning a big party! I have to have lots of balloons or my party won't be perfect! Screw MRI machines. My party! My party! Said a modern day Mrs. Dalloway.

Wouldn't it be funny if they had hired Justin Lookadoo as a corporate motivational speaker?

It seems I woke up one morning and the food world was crazy for salted caramel everything. The coffee shop, bakery, grocery store…I even drove by an Arby's offering salted caramel something. I don't object, I just wonder when the food gods decided it was a thing.

Also, I thought the cold open was there to make it clear that Skylar was at one time happily selling clown figurines on ebay to make ends meet and thinking of a two for one pizza deal as a treat. Whatever her behavior has been, and she's a very difficult character, that scene was there to remind the viewers that

Some people have argued that telling Jesse about Jane was a similar moment to his conversation with Skylar. While truthful, he was totally disassociating himself from Jesse in front of the Aryans. They won't believe that Jesse has any loyalty to Walt or vice versa, and that could make Jesse safer in his new situation.

Boy, for a kids show, they didn't gloss over the sadness of Arthur and Merlin's fates did they? I thought it was a great ending, but like to Frye's dog in Futurama, Merlin's long wait never fails to get me.

@Jashin Slayer seems to be a person with some serious issues, but I love that you've taken him on. Gold star.

I have no chip on my shoulder. I didn't come in to this thread and decry female commentors in other threads and call them hypocrites. I simply disagreed with your statement. So, pot meet kettle.

Here's the thing. There is a double standard. Women are commonly portrayed as sexual objects or appendages of men. Sexual violence against women is often (not always) played for titillation. Women characters who take on masculine traits are applauded, men who take on feminine traits are ridiculed.

I was really sorry that Cairo Time didn't get more attention, because he's a man who deserves leading man roles. Don't get me wrong, I love it that he pops up in Merlin or DaVinci's Demons and shows everyone how to act in SciFi/Fantasy but he's also held his own with A-listers.

Still, back in the day, to even show a woman in passing taking command, sent a very strong message.

I don't blame any TV writers from the 60s for being products of their time, and we've come a long way as far as having developed female characters in SciFi.

I sometimes feel like the show is a Rorschach test for people. I tend to remember the very strong episodes and defend the show, but now and then I am reminded of some of the epic disasters. I'm sure there is an amazing nonfiction book to be written about all that went on behind the scenes, because there was so much

I have great affection for Enterprise because it is the red headed step-child of the trek franchise. Some of the episodes infuriate me with their awfulness, but there are some really excellent episodes, too. I hated the theme song, but I loved the opening credits montage. I did enjoy the design of the ship as well.

I always thought the dog was part of a Lewis & Clark in space idea that they never really got to, pardon the pun, explore. Archer = Lewis, Trip = Clark, T'Pol = Sacajawea and Porthos as Seaman. In any case, the dog was cute and not used enough.

For a brief time in the 90s, I worked for the NFL as a floating temp, and it was a fascinating and very positive experience. I even answered phones for Tagliabue for awhile. "Mr. Taliabue, Mr. Butkus is on the line for you." I also helped book some incredibly famous acts for the sponsors superbowl party.

Have you ever read Gay Talese's "Frank Sinatra Has A Cold"? Ellison makes a wonderful cameo in the first part of the story. Esquire Magazine, 1966 I believe.
