I agree. There's nothing cute about how my and my husband's family fed their families for generationS. I'm doing the canning, freezing, and preserving to keep grocery bills down, and, dammit, it does taste better. This shit is not a hobby. This exactly. As our hens age, we plan to use a chicken tractor to help keep the pests out of the garden. We'd let them roam free, but irresponsible neighbors have dogs that would eat them in about 2 seconds. They are helpful for getting rid of ticks in your yard as well. I'm veg, so I won't be eating them.
