Agreed: for example, a typical war film can represent women realistically by having 1 woman soldier amongst the main soldiers, but it wouldn’t be reality if there were 3 women and 4 men in the main cast. Unless plot driven of course, but realistically, most army-war stuff involves men.

I do believe in equal representation though, and I personally believe a trans actor should be hired for this. I simply understand the casting, the box office draw, and also that actors can challenge themselves.
