Jeb Bush is nothing like Dubya. He got through U of Texas (Austin) in two years. His best friend is Howard Dean. I would not vote for him, but this frightens me.

Um if there were other people standing there you can deny it all you want. Others are going to remember it differently.

Erderly is well aware of this and that one effort to contact a source in a story isn't enough.

Journalists aren't really supposed to "prove" anything. They are "supposed" to report the facts.

Well there was that guy with the receipts. He was white, though.

Who remains dubiously silent.

No the reporter chose UVA (uvrape) before hearing jackies story.

I think she was raped/molested years ago, very young, by a family member and is continuing to work it out.

ALL interview subjects say this about reporters the second they finally understand the story is not going to be exactly how they want it to be. This is especially true of subjects who have something to hide.

The rape of Elizabeth smart.

Erderly has worked with and written about Glass and knows this is one way he got around fact checking. No way shed fall for this—but she might have used the tactic to cover her add and get her story through fact checking.

What did Jackie expect the frat to do? Expel a student who didn't exist?

Considering that Erderly wrote a feature about Glass and knew that one way he got through the fact checking was by making up email contacts for sources and posing as those sources, I highly doubt sh'd trust an email as a response. Though she might have used that tactic so she could get the quote through fact checking

Come on!

what sayeth ye now?

hahahahahahaha yes. Yes, indeed.

And yet Jezebel can and has been critical of other journalist's techniques and efforts. Can't have it both ways. I mean—you can, free country and all, but you really can't.
