A friend who’s into the Stoics lent me his copy of the Enchiridion of Epictetus. I managed to get through the first section, and I’m asking here (and will probably also ask him) whether it’s worth going on to the rest of the book or whether I’ll keep wanting to throw it against a wall.
My husband and I liked TLJ largely, though not entirely, because it subverted a lot of expectations. Most critics seem to agree with us.
