“Let me call my friend, he’s an expert in fraudulent loans”

IDK, if she showed up in that car I’d let it slide because it’s awesome that she drives an AMC Gremlin.

Look,  I’m way too desperate at this point in my life to be turning down any potential dates based on her choice of vehicle.

I have to wonder how much of this is the vehicles, and how much of it is the kind of people who purchase those vehicles.

I’m guessing the kind of people who buy minivans are also the kind of people who are least likely to drive aggressively.

Gas stations are great for drug deals because there’s lots of traffic going in and out, so it’s not suspicious. There are multiple exits for a quick getaway. And it’s well enough lit/busy enough/ has cameras that it discourages the other party from trying to rob you.

I got a new Carplay-compatible head unit in the beater cargo van I use for my side hustle, and it’s definitely made my long drives way more enjoyable. I can listen to podcasts without having to spend the entire trip jiggling the lightning to aux connector.

Same.  I’ve got a lot of junk to move around.

My understanding is that a lot of people who steal cars are doing so because they want to use the car as a getaway car to commit other crimes. In which case they don’t really care if it’s something lame like a Taurus. In fact, that’s probably an advantage because it will blend in while your escaping the liquor store

In a similar vein as sunroofs, my pickup has a power vent window in the back window.

I have a cap on the bed which blocks the window, which makes it totally useful to me.

I had a tow from AAA a few months ago, and their COVID policy was that only one person could ride in the truck (and they had to wear a mask). Luckily I was alone, but it would suck for someone that wasn’t.

But did it have the tent?

Directions unclear, deer caught in ceiling fan.

One of my side hustles is selling at specialty swap meets, and I do “on the road” ones every couple months. I’ve toyed with the idea of buying a camper - some shows will let you set up on the grounds for free or a modest to not-so-modest fee - but I can’t really make the numbers work. Especially because I don’t have a

Yup. There’s a link for “original window sticker” under the vin information.

It only seems to be for newer ones, I looked up a 2012 first and it didn’t have it, but a 2015 does.

You know, there is a possibility between “terrorist attack” and “driver trying to escape an attack” - an actual accident. The fact that it was one person with minor injuries kind of makes me think we’re talking “guy stepped out in front of slow moving car” and not “driver aiming at crowd at full speed”

It’s got 14 days left on it.   They’ll all go up in the end.

Well, at least I’ll be able to get a used one from Enterprise.
