I have multiple in-laws in Canada who have been diagnosed with various forms of cancer, and were gotten into treatment almost immediately (within a week of diagnosis).  In the US, insurance companies will typically make you wait for their “approval process” a minimum of 6 weeks.

As it’s explained to me,…
