Seems to me, this would point to a need to develop some sort of “battery operating condition maintenance system”, perhaps a thermal blanket/peltier coler arrangement that would work to either heat, or cool, the battery pack as needed, both during charging as well as driving.
AKA runner-ups for a Darwin award. Gotcha.
