Whats the difference nowadays? There is so much corporate money in government, that the distinction is barely noticeable. When was the last time you saw an oil, pharma or financial company being held to account by the government?

Firefox having trouble loading tabs? I use the tree style tabs extension and regularly have 70 or 80 tabs open, with no problem at all. Also on the rare times I restart FF it opens up in 5 seconds or so even with my crazy tab glut.

One additional reason to get the Applecare+ on your phone is if you are planning to upgrade when your contract expires. Get a case and a screen protector and treat it with reasonable care and iPhones last a long time. I know several folks with 2nd generation iPhones that work just fine.
