@Mike Kelly: " it's no more difficult to develop new touch-centric apps for Windows 7 than for iPad's iOS"

I would be shocked if the windows tablet gets more than 5 hrs battery life.

If it were not for the noise I would love to watch this all day.

Somehow the champagne was far more nsfw than the bikini shot

There is a gadget made in Australia that replaces the drain in your shower that has the cold water input to the water heater wrapped around the shower drainpipe.

seems like with the iphone having a built in gyro, a software upgrade should make it antimotionblur capable.

It would be so much cooler if it transmitted the video to a screen on the remote.

That is clearly what happened to that Seagate HD I got last year.

@sambone: This vehicle is going straight downwind, and there is no other type of wind powered vehicle that can can go faster than the wind straight downwind.

It is very confusing because when it starts with the wind behind it the propeller/rotor is rotating the wrong direction for the wind to be rotating it.

@vlatro: I did not mean to imply that Miro is a full media center, just that I think for 90% of the people out there it does the job of finding, downloading and playing back content well enough to satisfy their needs.

@Wendismo: " those panels expire relatively quickly in comparison to heat collectors. "

Nice, but totally overkill for most people.

Oh the buffeting! Make it stop before I go innnnsaaaaneee!

That looks pretty awesome. Having that interface for organizing bookmarks would be a huge step forward as well.

They would have done better to give away half the # of phones and do away with the developer fees entirely. They will sink or swim based on the apps, and anything that creates more developers for them should be paramount.

On the other hand if you compare the cost of Apples rollout of their Phone/OS, they managed to charge $600/phone and now with ATT giving them a share of every subscription they are still getting a couple of hundred. In both these cases they were immediately making huge profits.

I think this is less what IBM would have made in the 50's and more what RCA or Magnavox would have made if they had invented the PC. It looks very much influenced by console TV's of the era.

Great article!

@minibeardeath: There is a finite amount of energy in a specific movement, and so there is a limited amount of charging to be had from picking up a remote.
