Being a dealer in GA I read up on this after seeing this article. Unfortunately, it looks like PA has a decent amount of laws in place to protect the consumer but OH favors the dealers. PA among others has... right to return, right to warranty, etc. Hope things get better for this family and the dealer suffers

Eh, perhaps. But, who knows, this person may be insured to the point where that would be a favorable outcome.

Ranko has a nose for rusted out wheelchair accessible minivans.

They keep using the word “mall”. I do not think it means what they think it means.

Not that able-bodied people don’t also deserve to not be ripped off, it’s especially scummy to do this to people that need these vehicles.  Worst of the worst.

This place seems to make a good chuck of change ripping off people in need.

Gosh, wouldn’t it be a shame, a real shame, if something like a fire were to happen to 1st Quality Auto Mall (located at 471 West Avenue, Tallmadge, Ohio)?

All “You should have had this independently inspected” aside, a quick look at their Google reviews shows this place isnt a stranger to this crap.

There’s a bigger factor.

US median retail gas price/gallon has been steadily declining since 2022.

Wait until you get “old” and need readers or bifocals, distraction isn’t the issue but quick legibility is. It’s where tactile buttons become nice for those frequent tasks, I don’t need to look at, try to focus, then read a screen, just find a set touch point then press. You don't know what you've got until it's gone.

Or... you could stop being a prick about people’s personal likes.

For me the damning thing in the header photo is that green at the top of the windshield. Yep... that’s a reflection. If light from inside the car is reflecting off the windshield back towards your eyes at night.... it is objectively wrong. This is not about taste. It’s just wrong.

I like a combination of hard controls and screens.

Ragebait will definitely get you clicks, but well thought of articles can too. I remember Jalopnik used to have some really good interview articles and investigate articles. Can we get back to that? I feel like the only reason I'm still here is the comment section and it's a hot or miss if that is even working.

You are just wrong. ANY extra interior lighting is going to cause your pupils to dilate more than they should and diminish your night vision. This is just science and not up for debate. A car interior should look like this at night, and I’d even say that they have the gauge brightness a bit to high even here.

It’s a cute story, and the guy is on to something we need to get back.

Hmm looks like something they should have identified if they, you know, tested it.

“I can fix it.”
