Saaaaame. Dead Space is the game that got me back into gaming, so it will always have a special place in my heart of hearts... and then Dead Space 2 is damn near flawless, really.

Dead Space 1 and 2 are already classics in my book.

I’ve never played much of the RE games, and while I know TEW is very much in the RE vein, I always thought of it like a distant cousing to Dead Space. Definitely horror, but the core of the gameplay is absolutely action.
