I second this answer. I’m enjoying this series immensely. Some viewers might not enjoy a slow burn sci-fi series, but I do. At the very least, the show’s set design and cinematography are beautifully crafted.

Setting aside Madonna’s cardboard acting, her being in Matrix would’ve been way too distracting because she’s just too big a name especially in the 90's.
And slowly turn gray as the season progresses. Then the final shot with a monocle.
Going into the slideshow, I expected some dark facts about space, but I did not expect the space graveyard of orbiting hero animals above us. That’s bleak.
I’m surprised the article didn’t mention Remington Steele. Brosnan was on EVERYONE’s wishlist as Bond because of that series.
I am absolutely not a musical fan. Once I find out that a movie is a musical, it’s a guaranteed skip for me.
I’ve been around long enough to know that seemingly normal people still do questionably racist things. The fact that they’re out there is a given.
It’s certainly a slow burn and I can see it not being for everyone. The timing was perfect for me because I was in the mood for a slow paced movie and I am fascinated with the inner working of the publishing world and book agents (I have one myself). But if the first few minutes isn’t to your liking, you probably…
I didn’t know it was a book. I just watched it because of the premise.
Holy smokes. That was her?
I’ve heard of Hi Mom’s global success and I just watched the trailer and it’s still confusing to me how it’s made nearly $1 billion dollars -- and without the US market at that.
Granted, I’m not Chinese and clearly outside the film’s target market (I’m Asian living in Mexico), I’m still trying to figure out how it’s…
I was born in the late 70's and, by comparison, we had a fascination for the 1960's for the all of the very same reasons. So, this tracks and I feel old.
Though I’ve only seen Qualley in three films, IO, Once Upon a Time, and My Sallinger Year, I’ve been very impressed by her acting. I don’t doubt that she’s impressive in this one. In my opinion, she’s one actor to keep an eye on as she goes further in her career.
As a guy who’s not a Furry and doesn’t care for NFTs, I just want to ask why no one is questioning the fact that that art is atrocious. That’s the best she could come up with and people will still pay over 1k for that? Christ.
I love it.
My assumption is that it’s a career choice. She’s making a ton of money just staying put in Grey’s Anatomy. It seems like she just chose financial security over artistic freedom.
I loved this movie as a kid in the 80's and I wore out our vhs tape of it, but I now can’t unsee the god awful boxing techniques in the fights. They’re just borderline comedic to even novice sports fans.
My take away is that kids won’t recognize any of the guest stars. I know my 11 year old won’t. It seems like a show concept for older fans... but made for children.
I’ll have to respectfully decline :) I’ve seen the clips. The Batman movie for the suit is garbage too, but they “look” good. Now I’m wondering if Batman and Robin suits will fetch higher prices because of the notoriety.
This is not a blank canvas.
