Dennehy was a fantastic actor, but for me he’s truly immortalized by Serengeti.

I learned of this through German eBay back in the day... a lot of time searching for E30 heckspoilers...
Clicked on comments for 8-series photoshop, not disappointed
My E30 coupe had pop-out rear vent windows. They were amazing for airflow, especially with the sunroof in vent mode. IIRC some E36/46 coupes also had power vent rear windows.
I too like the idea of a hybrid Isetta.
I had a really weird pad failure recently - I normally periodically check my pad thickness and then if they’re wearing equally, once the pad wear indicator goes off in the car from the front left or back right pad wear, I know I have 500-1000 miles to change my pads.
I believe it was the great Tuco that once said, “If you have to shoot, shoot. Don’t talk.”
I do not think that I want a leather raped interior.
/r/Chicago is almost nothing but: Look at this new skyscraper, look at all this crime, look at all this not-crime, and Rainforest Cafe jokes.
The separate crankpins also result in the slightly-off feeling you get when riding a BMW airhead and look down to see the two cylinders off-set from each other. Since you rarely see both from above unless looking down, it’s a little bit weird seeing the asymmetry the first time, like something is bent that shouldn’t…
There’s definitely sacrifices made for plot, but I really enjoy in the book series that time actually passes. Things take days and weeks to happen!
They’re a few years late for the promotional tie-in :(
My E30 definitely had a tar-like material used as sound-deadening in the trunk. IIRC it’s something like 40-50 pounds of the stuff in the trunk and under parts of the cabin.
Also E30 related:
To be fair, the sport steering wheel looks a lot better. The interior is basically an E39 on some drugs, so IMHO it’s aged pretty well compared to some of its contemporaries.
For a long time it was the “$15k rule” with E30 M3s. That is, you could find ratty ones for $6-10k, but they would require the difference from $15k in workto make them good cars. Anything $15k+ was generally in excellent condition. Now... now :(
I think the extensions were mostly extended until October 2018 for non-compliant ID states, except for MI/NY/LA. Those are still under review, but I have a hard time believing that DHS is going to tell those three states that their extension hasn’t been granted a week before the deadline. If so, the passport offices…
Sure is, but when JoeFromPA says any color, he basically means literally any color. When you spec the individual package you can request anything like “Malaga Red as used on a 1971 BMW 2002" and they will do it. You also get way more options for interior colors and a few fancy-dancy badges for the car. In my book it’s…
Also featuring the extremely rare giubo that is not bolted to the driveshaft
You can fill that plot-hole in lots of Star Wars-y ways, though. E.g. limitations on mass or the fact that it was during the initial jump to hyperspace and if the jump had “completed” no damage would occur.
