to be clear, this is only in regards to Call of Duty. Not everything. Anyone who read this and assumes it’s about anything else needs to go back to grade school.

Eh, I don’t know. Microsoft and its subsidiaries have made/are making virtually nothing I want personally.

I mean, this is a fairly new market/industry for the FTC to wrap their heads around. The fact that Microsoft is involved makes them 100x more suspicious given past antitrust suits, and gaming has only recently (last 15 years or so) reached the point where a first-party console manufacturer acquiring a third party

Hades and Diablo are both Action RPGs - but Hades is more of a roguelike so you’re right, it’s difficult to compare the two. I do agree and think that Diablo just grew in one direction. It would be nicer if they could have pulled from different genres to breath some life into the game, but they have their formula and

It’s always the loudest, most obnoxious and least educated people trying to prove how smart they are.

Vertical mergers are also bad. Stop licking the boots of your corporate masters and you’ll see that.

The fact that 40 other countries also lick corporate boot is not an argument.

to be fair, the FTC did slack off when it came to building a case.  They did not build a strong enough one when even random internet commenters on twitter were able to build stronger cases than they did.  A lot of ire i have seen is directed at them for not going hard enough against microsoft and not building a strong

They’re being rightly grilled.

I mean let’s all be serious, they did such a shit job it would have been cheaper to not do it at all. I’ve yet to see anyone call their strategy anything other than terrible. Even this site agrees it was bad. If you’re going to do your job, maybe don’t suck at it.

Her memoirs are a very interesting read. It’s one of those “Yeah, that’s awful that happened to her and... OMG, she had to deal with <some hideous other thing> too! At least it can’t get anyworse...<it gets worse>, OK, f-it, I’m done.” And she’s a pretty sympathetic character through it all. It’s not like she’s out on

I love how people still sugar coat their words just because it was her mother and not her father, while still acknowledging her actions.

This is probably an unkind thing to say about someone I never met, but I’m kinda glad her mom died too.

i really, really wish we got the 23 jump street where they join the men in black. i thought that was such a brilliant idea and we were so close.

What monopoly? There is no monopoly here. There is a large company getting bought by a huge company, but definitely no monopoly. Let’s be real here. The biggest problem with this deal, in my opinion, is the consolidation of gaming franchises to a smaller number of companies and just the general allowance of companies

Just accelerate the Seth Rogen recasting by a few years!

Sony is still making more money than ActivisionBliz and microsoft combined currently. this deal makes microsoft the 3rd largest in the gaming market. blocking this merger is really just providing Sony an opportunity to solidify a monopoly they have been barreling towards since the xbox one flopped.

Why would a trial target people who have already used the service..? They already know what the service offers.

I’ll do you one better, bud. Here’s an easter egg I don’t see anyone talking about.

Go into Fighting Ground and select Team Battle. Set it 3 on 3 and Single Elimination. Now make it one round and select Carry Over Health, Carry Over SA, and Select Order all on.

Now STREET FIGHTER 6 is a top of the line KING OF FIGHTERS

That’s unlikely to be the case because these streaming only shows pay barely any residuals to begin with - multiple orders of magnitude less than traditional cable and and broadcast shows would. That’s actually one of the major reasons the WGA is striking, along with protection against AI replacement.

I guarantee this is all happening because of the writers’ strike. This is the studios/networks/streaming platforms trying to flex their muscles and attack writers and creators by killing shows before they pay out any residuals or other payments.
