Although they’re also at a slight disadvantage as the majority of exclusive Series titles are also on PC at the same time as console.

I had the option of getting an Xbox or buying a new video card. Gamepass made the decision for me.
A modern GPU costs more than a console, so it doesn’t really matter to a console consumer if 2018's God of War is on PC - especially when the ports they’ve put out have had performance issues. They also haven’t brought over any more recent Playstation exclusives yet to PC. It’ll likely be a few more years at least…
It’s also weird to see Spencer claim digital libraries are the main reason people aren’t buying his company’s consoles
One more thing, regarding this:
I’m playing it solo and have been enjoying it well enough. Exploration is a lot of fun and there are a lot of interesting POIs to discover. The combat is pretty fun. The biggest detriment has been the performance. If it was running at a locked 60+ FPS, I’d be enjoying it a lot more.
Some people are weird in that they only care about the big AAA releases. Anything with a budget less than $70 million apparently doesn’t count as a game.
They do a bunch of little things right, and I can definitely see a good game under all of the issues.
It is genuinely baffling how terrible the default controller response is. Did the same thing, first set it to High, which confusingly adds a bigger dead zone, followed by this insanely aggressive acceleration curve. Figured out to get instant response, you set response... to low. And then up the sensitivity to…
So how many of these looter shooters from previously award-winning studios have to blow chunks before the exec suite gets the message? We must be getting close at this point.
I feel there is the potential for a great game underneath all the issues. It was definitely released far too early and you can tell just by how unpolished a lot of it is. There are a few bright spots, as I love the art style, map design, the gunplay feels smooth (when the game isn’t tearing or sputtering), lots of…
What? Considering how poorly the Hitman games (and stealth games in general) sell, how would imitating Hitman be a “get rich quick scheme?” Also, Deathloop plays nothing like Hitman. Deathloop is a shooter first and foremost. There’s no social stealth. It’s more like Dishonored with guns. For what it’s worth, I…
Exactly. Microsoft and Sony sell their consoles at a loss or maybe eventually at a negligible profit so that they can make money when you buy games for it. Nobody’s selling anyone a PC or its components as a loss leader for games.
That’s totally fair, I play a good amount of MS’s exclusives (thanks Game Pass), and I have nothing bad to say about them, they’re just not generally God of War-level blockbusters, which I think tend to be what moves the needle.
I’m largely uninterested in Playstation’s exclusives, so Xbox has been a great system for me. I appreciate the good backwards compatibility and their honestly pretty excellent rewards system.
I get the distinct impression that Microsoft doesn’t care about consoles and wants to get themselves into a position where they don’t have to make them - that is, it feels like their endgame is to steer people in one of two directions - users who want a fuller, more robust experience will have to play on PC, and…
GamePass is certainly the reason I bought an Xbox Series X. GamePass Ultimate is a superb deal, especially if you know how to subscribe for three years at a rock bottom price.
Bringing “politics” into video games while having a pfp of Solid Snake lmao
All the review bombings do is just make me distrust user reviews.
