For Reggie, any time. But seriously I need Yves to step down and get Reggie to run Ubisoft. He’s the right kind of person to bring Ubisoft back into great shape.

I just really don’t see them releasing a console without back compat. For two reasons: 1) I somehow don’t think it will fly this gen, not after team green and blue went with (near) full back compat. 2) If its a Switch Pro, rather than a Switch 2, they can attribute the sales numbers still under the Switch banner which

ROG Ally looking like its gonna be the best way to play Switch games.

You don’t attribute Xbox players as lost sales to a Sony exclusive, I just don’t think thats an objectively verifiable metric.

To me those are people who might be thrown over the edge to finally buy an Xbox, maybe not on Starfield alone, but maybe its the build up of Starfield, Hellblade, Avowed and then its like okay

I just don’t think it is. The reason I primarily game on my Xbox is because buying a PC with the same performance would cost nearly double the price. Its like that in most of the world. Then nevermind all the PC headaches that come next. I get so tired of that stuff. I think people’s motivations for xbox or pc

No worries. I like that we can come at the same game from different angles. I hope SF6 has the sauce to win you over in the end, and mad props to your friend, what a legend. I think I need to go the Xbox Dev Mode emulator route for SF3, maybe I will try that out tonight.

And on the animation side, while the animation

I loved Concrete Genie so much. Really enjoyable game to play. I spent way too much time making little monster wonderlands.

Super useful tips. Thanks.

Loved What the Golf, sad I’ll probably never get to play this unless it eventually loses exclusivity. One regulation I wish would come in to play was exclusivity transparency.

Because they made it available on PC and Cloud. It’s not a loss for MS if you play it there.

I think Microsoft has different metrics for profit. Their business model is kind of unfathomable at the moment. They literally give away Windows and Office which you would assume are their bread and butter. But nope, its all sorts of cloud stuff, business integration, patent licensing for says, government contracts

Two things.

This is true, but I think if Cloud gaming is the hold up with the CMA, I have a feeling that were not far from Geforce Now having a native Xbox app. You can already play it through the browser. So this does give Xbox gamers affordable access to those titles, obviously there are a variety of conditions that affect the

Look Spider-Man was what put me over the edge. But it was begrudgingly. I’m glad it eventually went to PC because as a lifelong Spidey fan, Peter (and Miles) belongs to everyone.

I don’t know how you could watch that interview and have that be your take away.

I just don’t think this is a disadvantage to Xbox. As a brand they want to include PC more and more. So gamers going to PC to play Xbox exclusives is a win for gamers at least, if they want that, but it definitely seems like MS/Phil considers that part of the win category.

But I think this is their strategy. They still have a heavy console focus, in the interview Phil said thats where the majority of their traction is. But they still consider PC as part of themselves. I don’t think Phil is concerned when someone plays their Xbox Studio games on PC over Xbox. They’re still selling

As a person who played a lot of Dan because it was the only way to give my more casual fighting friends a fair shake, I can relate to meta viability not being the thing that makes me gravitate towards a character. I once commited to playing 200 games in a row of Undying in Dota2. Mid run they severely nerfed him. I

I’m just having a laugh because I know someone who is like the spitting image of Kimberly. So it just seems super normal to me, like I see that face at least once a week.

Not really. Not more so than PS. The only real outlier they have had in a decade were more high level cancellations in the previous gen. Those were big dark spots that lead to the “xbox has no games” era. The truth is they put out plenty of quality titles in a wide variety of genres.

For comparison, previously I said:
