Controllers I buy from Dubai also do not include them. That said if they are included it would be nice if they included rechargables, that would be better.

Particularly when it comes from an environmental angle as if any of us who use AA batteries are buying disposable. That would be so costly regardless of environmental concerns.

Having worked in the research industry before this would never surprise me. People don’t realise how much corporate research is driven by story telling and sometimes just a vibe that whoever leading the research gets.

I read both this one and the one on the sister site, do you have a particular bone to pick with what I have said?

Apreciate that correction actually. Thanks.

IT is 37 percent of US viewers that didn’t finish it. But more importantly without proper comparisons of other shows and how they perform in terms of people finishing seasons, its kind of meaningless. For all we know TV shows have the same kind of drop off videogames have. Anyway of course Netflix still ranks higher,

It’s still gonna be more than the Steamdeck, but that part you mentioned is entirely optional and so not really part of the price discussion.

The performance overhead is pretty mute. It’s not really much of a thing in modern times as evidenced by the numerous videos comparing Steamdeck performance to desktops with similar specs, desktops with similar price, laptops with similar specs, and laptops with similar price, other handheld pcs, usually always

The only thing that truly matters in this space is price. It’s essential to Steamdeck’s success. Since this sounds like a much more premium device, my guess is the price will be at least double the Steamdeck like many other handhelds. Great piece of tech that 100 youtubers and 40 consumers will get to enjoy.

Its almost definitely a Square Enix thing, we know from interviews either Crystal or Square approached Marvel to make the deal. My guess is it was Square, because they seem to like take quick and easy cash out opportunities over longer term success. This deal was also likely made around the same time they signed a

I’m all for calling out Sony’s asanine exclusivity contracts, but in this case the fault likely lies with Square Enix. They were the ones who approached Marvel to make a deal for Spidey in this case (he is allowed to be used multi-platform), and they likely signed a deal on the level of FF7R where its long term tied

And the proof is in the pudding. Several developers and publishers have returned to Game Pass with subsequent titles. They would not be doing that if they felt Game Pass was devaluing their titles.

This is me, with the exception that I am much more inclined to wait for games to go on sale before buying because I’m quite busy.

I’m sorry you don’t understand the power of nostalgia, and the Nintendo brand. People who want to own a switch for those exclusives at this point would own it, especially in the hardcore pc market where the hardware costs way more than the Switch. Like I originally said these sales would not canabilise each other and

Despite Xbox head Phil Spencer’s claims that the subscription service leads to an increase of sales, a filing obtained by a British regulator revealed that the Game Pass actually depressed game sales for 12 months

But it is comparable in cloud streaming numbers. That is why the deal was made, Cloud streaming is considered an emerging market. We don’t compare everything to the biggest thing to decide its validity.

Literally all of this could be managed by one salaried employee. The thing you are severely underestimating is Nintendo. That brand has sales power that everyone else in the industry could only hope to have. People are willing to pay a premium for their products.

And you’re also underestimating how big the PC game

Truly Nintendo are throwing away billions. There are many older games they could sell on Steam for $20 a pop (steap I know), and there are millions of people who would pay that price to own some Nintendo games digitally and legally. The effort would be minimal. Anytime Nintendo decides it wants another billion dollars

This. Streamers are out there living and breathing these games as full time jobs. There isn’t a company on earth that can produce enough content for them to not get bored. Meanwhile the rest of us are getting plenty, and yeah none of what we get matters if we’re getting disconnected and the wait queues for games are

Yeah but I think that angle and framing will ultimately be what makes this deal go through because it is such a specific and frankly weak issue to base your argument on. From many angles.
