Yesssss octopus
Octopus would be nice, it is a tougher meat that takes a lot of time to get a product you would want to eat.
Bear is in season, is a tougher, yet delicious fatty meat great as a roast or stew.
Bison is also more common now and AWESOME when cooked correctly.
How come you don’t like chili, Carlos? Is it the cumin funk? Is it something else like the beans? And what chili are we talking about? Not Chef Boyardee right? (Does C.B. make chili? I really have no idea.)
Hey ya’ll, could you please stop sharing so many concourse stories to the deadspin main page? K thnkz
So throwing away long-respected journalistic principles, whereby people may tell you things they otherwise wouldn’t/couldn’t in exchange for confidentiality, is OK as long as you don’t like the guy? We’ve become a nation entirely overtaken by feelings.
I love this idea
This. All of this! I really want to know how well it would work out to pre-freeze a bunch of meals in the bag and then just toss it straight into the sousvide. Even better if you can pull it from the freezer, put it in the bath at room temp, and then start the sous vide up about halfway through the day (like,…

When Deadspin, a purported “sports blog,” is live blogging the VP debate, then you know Gawker never really died. Only Deadspin’s dignity. Or, what little was left of it.

You are wrong. The Lifehack gods have spoken.
Bacon-wrapped gator! Problem solved.
That’s a good suggestion- when I clean it I usually just look for dust or hair that could be stuck in inner workings- I’ve never greased it up.
I actually did get mine at Wal-mart, but I got one of the more expensive fans there. The only reason I have a fan is for the white noise because tiny inconsistent noises…
You know we love our sous vide cooking here at Skillet, so it may not be that surprising to learn that we’re…
Maybe I’m not going to the right beaches. :-)
I just checked where I live. There’s a reported Weedle on the other side of town (~10.5 miles). There’s a reported Abra 40 miles away, and a Charizard that was reported at a freeway exit 60 miles away about half an hour ago.
You can see exactly how to clean the Joule - which was designed to be easier to clean that anything else out there. You can watch a very short demo of cleaning it here:
