So much hate on this game. I played through the entire game and can’t recall a single moment of distress. Not like FF IV’s ( a great game ) many dungeons. Or III’s lack of an engaging narrative. FF II is a far better game than Bravely Default.

What a great and honest article. I feel like every new JRPG gets jerked so much on this site that you are forced to view it through a messy gleam that fills every hole while inducing gag reflex. It is refreshing to see an accurate criticism of what most new JRPGs lack. Loving the throwback reviews popping up here.
Eh. You enjoyed Bravely Default and that game has a terrible story and the most cliche characters. Even the amazingly innovative combat system, as fun as it was, couldn’t save that game from its atrocious story. Warcraft can’t be worse than the LOTR movies.
Incorporating CG cut-scenes alongside rendered graphics was groundbreaking at the time. The development of VII is everything that Tabata claims it was.
True Gamer here. Goku has past appeared in a Smash-like title, titled Jump Ultimate Stars.
In case you didn’t run through the same world multiple times over enough, Bravely Second delivers with more of the same! Seriously, what a dump of time. They really need to give this dev team more freedom to create. The story in the first entry was another iteration of the same story that has bee told many times over…
Of those screenshots I think I can make out A barrel.
I think it is quite sad that so many M.G. fans spit at Kojima for wanting a different voice actor to play a different character. Hayter plays Snake so well, but I don’t think that means he deserves to be given every lead character. In the end Kojima loves to add depth to the series and I’m sure that is where his…
I guess its a difference of opinion. I prefer the sytle of 3D modeling in FF VIII over most current gen titles. Current gen rendering looks great when emulating realistic environments and characters (Metal Gear), but current FF games are a bit jarring for me. They’re too clean, yet unfamiliar, and make me feel as…
I think VIII was a grand accomplishment in 3D modeling . Actually, I know it was. Played the game in my early youth, loved it. Went to college, studied a bit of art history and was initially awe struck in how much the impressionist movement in France reminded me of FF VIII. It was weird, there I was studying…
LOL. What did VIII do?
Bots. Bots, bots, bots, bots, bots. People don’t play Diablo anymore, they login every now and then to collect awesome loot. I know people that used to dump $60 a month on the game when the auction house still accepted real currency. Since it was taken down these people now resort to bot’ing to get their quick fix.…
Naw, Jhin are rooted in Hindu mythology as demons that serve humankind for a sort of price. They’re essentially what Genies are based off of; in fact I’m pretty sure that ‘genie’ is the term for a female jhin.
They really should have just stuck to creative freedom within their development teams. They kicked the chair out from underneath their own feet thinking they could continue to make money with money. Its strange that as a company that has built itself upon selling works of fantasy, they have completely forsaken the art…
If anything he is Jaded by Disney forcing Star Wars in place of the 70 mm premier showing of The Hateful Eight. I can’t even tell if hes actually seen The Force Awakens from watching that clip. Sounds like he is just clawing at anything relevant to mention.
Sam can still be a fan with an opinion. He was asked his opinion and he stated it; a camera happened to be involved.
Because CG images are far cheaper to produce than hand drawn animation; especially when trying to deliver action scenes that are not still-cuts. I would guess it all comes to down to comprising the budget with what the producer’s demand the work delivers in regard to content. They are not necessarily funding a work of…
Eh. A lot of what made the world of Suikoden I and II was how real it felt. It was obviously fantasy, but every character felt as though they belonged to their respective geography. This looks like another story of cool kids in cool clothes embarking on a magical adventure with a plot as convoluted as the concept of…
And I’m glad they had Kylo frequently taking off his mask. There was no reason to keep the suspense up on that.
Exactly. You CAN NOT roll 5 black mages. I never stated the exact party capacity.
