Talent is only wasted when not used. Their work on Project M was very accomplished.
P.M. wasn’t “just faster”. It included mechanics from Melee that hadn’t been used in Brawl: The ability to redirect characters mid-air, the L-cancel input that speeds character recovery when landing (opens up a lot of combo potential), and when used together the notorious wave-dash (which some form of actually exists…
The bad attitude is probably a regional issue. I live in Az and everyone I run into playing Melee at the local game-bar is really friendly and respectful. From a completely reverse experience, I have only encountered ‘bad’ attitudes from the Brawl community. A couple people have before gotten sore over losses and in…
I personally saw Axe take a tournament over Mewtwo King’s Shiek with Pikachu of all characters. From what I heard Hungrybox took the big Euro tournament recently with Jigglypuff. And just the other day I went 20-4 in friendlies against fox, falcos, and shieks (all capable of wave-dash and L-canceling tech) with ZELDA…
Why would you enter tournaments to a game that you hold a negative bias towards?
When you look at the differences between Melee and Brawl, heck even Melee and 4, they very much so are different games. Trying to say one is an ‘improvement of the other’ would be similar to stating that ‘Call of duty is an improvement of Halo’. Just because they’re both FPS’s doesn’t mean that they share the same…
Melee was the last installment that strove to pit “classic” characters against eachother. Brawl and 4 have been all about marketing current titles.
Advent Cloud is stylized after Japanese ethnicity. That is why he looks ‘different’. I would bet that they didn’t originally plan on marketing that film outside of Japan.
Okay, so this Cloud reveal is a teaser for a larger Smash reveal in December. I’d like to note that the very end of the teaser goes out of its way to show Square-Enix placed into the game’s licensing. This leads me to believe that Nintendo is adding more Square-Enix characters. While I’d like to believe that we’ll see…
Its true, but even adults can enjoy the occasional young adult novel. And even children can enjoy mature themes. The prequels felt like Asian titles adapted by Hollywood for western audiences: Abominations. It should have been titled “Star Wars episode 1: Annie and Pals”.
Nintendo is branching into a new market, and I don’t think its just to cash in on dinky phone apps. I’d place my money that this mobile tech-structure is going to eventually support key NX features.
Hopefully it doesn’t catch on and replace all hand-drawn 2D animation.
Its funny, but the world it creates isn’t memorable. It kind of feels like one giant newspaper comic strip.
If all marskman get nerfed in this trend then I could see some more unorthodox champions contending in the duo lane. Leauge may finally have an open meta.
I would speculate that its just a high-end handheld that connects to a home streaming console. But hey, maybe Nintendo has already perfected VR and is going to sweep the market.
And do not forget that, like most games, moba’s are more games of knowledge than they are skill. Do yourself a favor and pick up a newer moba that has fewer characters and items to learn about while you familiarize yourself with the technical requirements and basic gameplay. With that said, LOL is an abomination at…
Shield delay makes attacks with less frames exploitable. Removing shield delay makes its only counter grabbing, resulting in a decisive 50/50 trade off; That is not exciting gameplay. Removing both shields and grabs creates a neutral game accessible to both quick and slow attackers. The parry option leaves a high-risk…
It is wave dashing.
Aerith’s scene was a huge turning point in Cloud’s character development. He’d gotten so caught up in the struggles of others that pre Aerith’s scene he didn’t have the heart to truly champion Sephiroth. Up until that scene he was literally living the opposite of his own dreams and aspirations; he’d forsaken himself…
