What a fair, unbiased and reasonable article. Moderately shocked to find that here, but welcome nonetheless. I'm a Christian gamer, and feel a bit isolated occasionally. Good to know that there's level, un-paranoid heads out there who think like I do. Thanks!
Dang - you beat me to it. +1 Ma'am.
[sarc]insert sarcastic comments here[/sarc]. THIS is what we need.
"Apple catching up to Google's TV platform?" Wait...Google has a TV platform? ;)
Wish it wasn't necessary to point out to people that they should NOT post their email addresses in plain text on a comment thread. Want a G+ invite? Great. Ask for an invite for youremail at gmail dot com. Sorry, mild case of the Mondays is finding me easily annoyed.
Always wondered how they were going to merge iOS and OSX interface paradigms. Instead of merging them, it sounds like they just added both, in which case I'll upgrade just for the autosave, AirDrop and other useful features while ignoring the iOS bits that over-complicate things. It's only $30, after all.
"Dump your data?" Would that I could, LH. But it seems that there's not really an option to do that with a smart phone on most carriers. It's in your TOS.
Vibrams are great for barefoot running, but if you're looking for a great barefoot running shoe that doesn't cross any "professional" boundaries, the Nike Free Run +2s are AWESOME. [goo.gl]
Beat me to it. This is exactly what I was thinking, because I see it so much. Scientists occasionally seem to lose their common sense when they want to see favorable results in their studies.
The purpose of this article is to...what? Any fool with a knowledge of Photoshop can forge any number of things. Common sense. Pretty much anything that doesn't have electronic data linked to it (ie serial number/magnetic strip/etc) or have secondary anti-counterfeit measures can be manipulated in Photoshop. Doesn't…
Seems to me that the likely scenario is a GPS-guided virtual fence that does away with the buried wire of today's systems. Not super thrilled about that option, but it's the most likely one.
At the risk of starting a flame war with pit lovers here, that isn't entirely true. While pits CAN be loving and playful dogs, they have historically been bred to promote dog aggression and physical characteristics that allow them to cause maximum damage to other dogs. Not every pit is a loose canon, and there are…
Very well put. I have a sight hound as well, and he (almost) literally goes deaf when he's after something. I haven't tried a shock collar yet, but I might need to eventually. Shock collar for virtual fence? Bad idea. Shock collar for barking? There are better options (like a citronella collar) [goo.gl] But for…
Very illuminating that most people posting email addresses here are doing it the correct way, while over at engadget they're posting them as formatted email addresses in droves. Are Giz readers more savvy? I'm just saying...
You can see HP's thinking not only in this product, but in their intent to put WebOS into everything they can. They aren't interested in making solid products so much as making TONS of products. The part they miss is that without a solid foundation (the OS) the products will fail. I find it hard to believe that no one…
Like. +1. Digg. Whatever way you want to phrase it, I'm in love with this design.
Disagree. Google isn't stupid, as evidenced by their mountains of money and consistant hiring of top talent. They've learned from past mistakes here, and it's already evident that they're going all-in by placing the Google+ info on their homepage.
Blackle is completely irrelevant today. LCDs are backlit from edge to edge, rather than pixel by pixel with an electron gun (as was the case in the CRT age). In English? You use the same amount of energy on an LDC rather the page is white or black, because the whole backlight is on either way. Today, Blackle exists…
