I just don’t see what he has to apologize for. Did they not know that he frequently paints people while they’re all bare-naked and stuff? I grew up viewing his work, giant photorealist works full of NAKED PEOPLE. There was nothing remotely sexual about it (unlike, say, Jeff Koons) so what’s the big deal?
