I see a lot of comments here about how blah blah he doesn’t respect women because he defunded Planned Parenthood, etc., and I totally agree! However, I think we might be confusing our own ideologies for those of the GOP when we say that this is going to harm him or stick around.

I see sexist dogwhistles all over - from my own liberal friends, even - and I’m not a fanatic for either candidate on the Democrat side. People criticize her for being cold - but if she were to be ‘warmer’, she’d be weak in other people’s eyes, or disingenuous. She’s not your mother, she’s a politician running for the

I have hope. Her music has evolved over the years away from traditional chillgirlisms. I hope it keeps growing.

Shit, sometimes you just can’t write reality better than reality.

I feel like it’s in no way unreasonable to be suspicious of literally anyone who goes by “Dr. Love”.

This is a really nice, well-thought post. I think you’re entirely right about it, and I see it within my own divorced mother’s new dating life. She used to complain about football and golf (which is undoubtely The Worst) on TV, and now she’s watching both along side her new boyfriend and cheering for his favorite team.

I don’t think you’re reading my response as nuanced and in other cases you are being very uncharitable to the words I’ve actually used. Nowhere have I called what she’s specifically done here just “a dumb thing”. It’s not staying out late with your friends and drinking underaged, which is why I chose to discuss the

Malala was capable of some huge things at that age, you’re totally right about that, but there was still much that she could not reasonably understand or fully appreciate the magnitude of at that age as well. I’m certain she still did dumb 13 year old things from time to time. That’s not infantilizing, that’s being

I think it’s a bit unconstructive to not care about these cases. They’re in the minority, sure, but not caring about them doesn’t mean they don’t still have real-world impact on many levels.

I think about how stupid I was at age 13 and how I never would have even dreamed of doing this sort of thing...which is exactly the point. When you’re 13, stuff of this magnitude just doesn’t register. You don’t get it.

Thought processes following these things are always such a mixed bag.

“How could you do this?”

This was my first thought. Don’t you have some...investments or...a second house to get to or something? GTFO of my impossible dream.

I love the headlines for Anne’s pregnancy pictures. “Anne Hathaway covers baby bump with white blouse” – also known as “getting dressed while pregnant”? Because, you know, if she didn’t have a pregnant belly to cover, she totally would have left the white blouse at home.

I understand where you’re coming from, but your life and career are often intrinsically connected, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to be concerned with both. Having a destroyed career is much different than simply losing a job – it’s completely life-altering to need to find a new path.

Your understanding of the definition of “public opinion” is as tenuous as your understanding of law, I’m sure.

Don’t see why the edge was necessary, it’s a differing opinion, not a failed peace treaty.

I design for some pretty high mark clients and I really don’t think these are that bad. SHRUG.

Even Kool Aid Man would look like a clone if it weren’t for his Kool Aid Man hair.
