Marine here again. I can’t stand how conflated “the flag” has become with “the military.” I also can’t stand the knee-jerk “patriots” whose default position toward the military is genuflection, and anyone who fails to bend the knee is shunned. These are not the hallmarks of a free society.

Non-American here, not really getting all this noise, I was under the impression that the purpose of your military was to protect the interests of the country abroad and (when required) defend the country and constitution from attack. If that is accurate, then does the military not EXIST to protect the right to free

Coincidentally, A-Rod became a jerk-off in a cup.

Dan Boyle, Thank you SO MUCH for not accepting the better contract the Islanders offered you two years ago. After the Isles traded for his rights from the Sharks, Boyle scorned them and left money on the table to sign with the Rangers.

I remember watching Inglorious Basterds for the first time in the theater and saying “OH SHIT!” really loud when he put up the 3 fingers (my parents are from Germany and I learned to do it that way, then later on way always questioned by friends why I did that).

Yes, very sad that it’ll be a year and a half until the next one...awink.

Because it’s so sincere. It wants nothing more than to delight and entertain; to spread mirth and frivolity. And it does so with charm and aplomb. No matter how many nits there are to pick, I just can’t help but love all those people on the screen, new and old. It fills me with joy to watch them. The whole experience

Have seen it twice and am leaving in 10 minutes to see it a third time. Second viewing wiped out almost every nit pick I had on the initial viewing and was even more emotional that the first. Saw it in 2D first, then RealD and gotta say that the 3D conversion they did is outstanding.

I bet she gets eaten by a sand vagina/phallus thingy after about two minutes of screen time in Ep. VIII.

It is pretty messed up that they would air the documentary without his consent.

If anyone ever wonders what the hardest job in sports is, think of it this way: If a pitcher fires a 95 mph fast ball that goes a bit outside, or high, or anywhere that’s not the catcher’s glove, it’s likely a past ball. The catcher has an expectation of where it’s going to be. A goalie has no such luxury. There are

Ohh yea, of course they were doing it in Brooklyn before it was cool.

Man on Wire is a great, and in many ways, beautiful documentary. Why they needed to “dramatize” the story besides ‘for profit’ I’ll never know.

The first sign the company was in a tailspin should have been that the "Senior Communications Manager" was using Comic Sans as her e-mail font.

He put our little prairie team in the pantheon of best sports teams ever.

I loved this movie.
