I haven’t heard the “Mitt Romney warned you about Russia and you laughed at him” red herring in a while, but for some reason it popped into my head while listening to this. Russia isn’t a threat as they were as the Soviet Union. They are still a major power and someone we have to give consideration to, but they have,

Doesn’t sound likely, but if true it was a savvy move. Undermine the goodwill that has been built up by some actual investigative reporting and the shadow of journalistic integrity lately for essentially nothing. Trump supporters are too far gone to play the “see, we were nice, come back” card, and just like his

It’s tripping over a dollar to pick up a dime.

“I’ll take the aged New York strip, extra well done, ketchup on the side”

But he did say insane shit. He just did it in a (relatively) socially acceptable way.

Well, you see, the ACA doesn’t actually make healthcare better which Trump has been claiming his plan is going to do. I guess he’ll be giving tax credits for insurance agents to go to med school? Mandatory phlebotomy certification for claims adjusters?

From Cillizza’s column, bolding mine

I don’t know if intended, but your reference to Mussloni strikes home at a deeper level. Mussolini didn’t get the trains to run on time. Most of the repairs to their rail system was done before Mussolini came to power and it’s been pretty well established that there wasn’t anything special about their efficiency under

That is incredible

And yet still managed to shoehorn in blatant falsehoods. No “oops I mispoke” excuses, this was presumably researched prepared remarks clearly written by someone else and likely okayed by several people.

Now playing

I’m only a casual watcher of the sport, so not really up on all of the rules or the tactics, but that seems like a valid counterstrategy as well as not committing too many to the ruck and working up the pitch incrementally. If Italy isn’t going to enter the ruck then you’re not under any impetus to pick the ball up

I think OP was taking more of an issue with the correctness of the headline, not commenting on the outcome. I also reject your black and white assertion regarding the acceptance of civilian casualties. You don’t have to be an “abject pacifist” to not immediately write off civilian casualties as cost of doing business.

I’d assume that it’s one of those poor communities with legitimate economic anxiety

And the willful ignorance. That cuts deeper. There are idiots, but there are people who did come out against Trump, or at least knew the bad that was coming and still rationalized a way to vote for him. They get an extra special fuck you.

Given his prediliction with it, I’m guessing it starts with a C and ends with an O. Maybe Detroit with it’s proximity to Dearborn if they want to go with the blame the Muslim route.

How does he feel about hazing in high school/collegiate sports? Teenage vandalism? Consenting adults breaking sodomy laws? Any number of domestic and sexual assault cases by professional atheletes? Barfights? Minor tax code violations?

“They might not agree with everything you do, but people will respect you for doing what you said you were going to do,” Jason Miller, Trump campaign communications strategist, tells the Times.
