Absolutely. Call people out on BS, fine, go for it. But this? Stupid, petty, and tired.

Apples to apples: Did more people watch Netflix’s The Crown than PBS’ Masterpiece/ Victoria (possible)?
Honestly, when a show brags that it’s “The #1 rated comedy!” it sounds like they’re talking to you, but they’re really winking at advertisers. Netflix views their data as being more valuable than ads, and their data is strong enough to suggest to them that their subscribers seem to have an affinity for 80's-era…
What’s interesting is that the streaming services themselves have MUCH more accurate data than Nielsen. They can tell you how many, on what device, what percent watch the credits, and what the person searched for when looking for something to watch. The reason we don’t see that data is because they don’t want us to.
“So far, Nielsen says it can only measure streaming viewership on television, and not on mobile devices.” ah so it’s still useless.
I’m sorry, but you can’t take opinion based on individual taste and post it as fact.
I’m sure our corporate and political overlords are laughing their asses off at all the outrage being expended over a young woman who sells music. She’s doing quite well at marketing herself and her brand, and all without actually hurting anyone. Meanwhile, there are truly evil people fucking every one of us over,…
Yeah, like, clearly the snake imagery is part of her album concept. What is so weird about consistent branding during an album rollout?
Reverse-counterpoint: I actually buy that she was offended by the fact that Kanye referred to her as “that bitch,” which for some reason was not disclosed during their phone call. She was lacking in self-awareness in her response and came across as overly self-righteous, but I absolutely understand why the…
I feel like there’s more to the story behind the phone call but it’s just too stupid or potentially damaging for Taylor to explain to us, and she knows it. Like for her to try and defend herself further would be to reveal too much about the entertainment/music industry that people wouldn’t understand or care about,…
As opposed to whom? Adele, and her constant sappy stream of “why did you reject me I’m miserable” songs?
Exactly. I’m not really a fan of her stuff (although naive in lyrics, her early country stuff resonated a bit more in my world) and don’t care about her Instagram activities. But at this point, gossip and so called progressive communities have made her into this boogeyman and ultimately an underdog to her fans. And…
Jezebel needs a new girl to trash already. This is getting tired.
I’ll say it: I like Taylor Swift. I like this persona. I like that she’s taking the snake thing on. You fuck up IRL and everyone find outs and calls you out on it — own it. They just gave you new material for your next era.
The people defending her get it. The endless comments talking about how “over her” they are, not so much. Taylor Swift seems to be the epitome of “have fun with your thinkpieces, but I’m laughing all the way to the bank” and although an unpopular opinion, I LOVE her for it. Also, the author is and has repeatedly…
I agree on both points and think we haven’t even heard that much from her yet! Like, she has an album coming out soon and the last thing she posted on Instagram was September 7th. She’s been pretty quiet on twitter aside from some retweets. (I just checked all this). I’m ok with the like, three snake references. I’m…
Kit Harrington went to a Halloween party (in early October?!) dressed as his GoT character.
“ripped corduroy jeans and flannel shirts”=/= punk
For everything he does now there is a tweet of him criticizing the Obama administration for doing or not doing it .
It’s no coincidence that there’s a Trump tweet for literally everything he’s tweeted or done since November. Trump insulted the wrong old lady during his presidential campaign, and now he’s paying for it.
