My favorite UI was one found on XP Black Edition, or maybe it was XP Pirate Edition. It looks like the "Royale Noir" theme but with thinner, rectangular Minimize/Restore/Close buttons. The buttons weren't on the top edge like Vista/7, they hovered with a full border like XP's buttons.
