I wouldn't suggest the electric pants, electric coils near your body (like electric blankets, gloves, etc) messes with your heart rate.

@djscruffy: Ubuntu or Debian will probably give you the least crap.

@welcometomyface: Hm, coincidental. I was just looking to do that myself. I looked up Synergy but it's not the exact same thing so I wanna rip out the monitor and hardware-hack convert it instead.

@Jeff Abrahams: One day doesn't sound bad, $5 once will be unnoticeable. Anything more than that then screw account, get JDownloader and let it manage everything.

@tacotime: Rainbow Six (the orig) or Star Wars: Jedi Night II - Jedi Outcast. Both were sweet for being such low-power. I was a beast at Rainbow Six even as a kid, and Kyle Katarn is so freaking sweet, best Jedi ever.

@Tsylord: It depends which type you like playing and if you're going to play with other people. Pick the gameplay that you're in the mood for. L4D is nice FPS (go Valve, woo) but has dumb-as-nails team AI so co-op is good idea. Assassin's Creed 2 was pretty cool, good run-around action/adventure. I can't speak for Civ

@JustinC: Anything on HackADay.

I see lots of comments worried about overheating. There are lots of things you could do to avoid that like getting less-crappy flashlights, using LEDs, putting batteries in parallel, anything you can think of. Kipkay's guides are much more general modding ideas than real guidelines - he is DIY guy, not an electrician.

@simsmac: I have a better moral: run batteries in parallel using tape and paperclips to reduce voltage throughput.

Books and writing/drawing implements, although I will use digital version of both when required. Sometimes I'm looking for text in a book and I think "ok, Ctrl+F .... wait, crap"

Wow, big slip in the Don't Make Me Steal Manifesto. It should say "ad-free", not "adds free". If anybody has contact info for them, please send them that. I don't see any contact info or editor/mod Twitter account.

Asus has a lovely 1366x768, it's so nice and mediocre :P

Hurray, now other devices will get cheaper. This tablet is awesome but I can't afford something that's basically the price of a desktop/laptop.

@KOKOCLIFFY: But that still lacks USB. And a dual-core processor. And dual cameras. And HDMI.

@craigeryjohn: Yeah, I'm pretty sure all Android devices have physical buttons. One or two have touch-sensitive buttons but they're still separate from the screen.

Scareware anti-virus tools are called "rogue anti-virus".

If power goes out it'll likely be in the power company's grid-pattern. I could probably sled (why not?) a few blocks away and snag wifi, or go over to a friend's house.

@Maave: I kinda answered my own question. I got a screenshot addon for Firefox (Screenshot Pimp, only one for Minefield with full-page :P) and did a full-page screeny.
