@djr1904: Google is trying to implement cloud computing and have applications online rather than on-disk. You could still use any other form of internet service but a data connection will stay constantly connected to programs.

@Astrath: No, I cannot afford that crap. I'm running CyanogenMod 6.1 with LauncherPro on my G1 and it's beast. Next task is to dual-boot Debian, I'm getting close. My final performance will be to encrypt the entire phone (Android and all) with LUKS.
@awdark: Yeah, root and install a nice ROM like CyanogenMod. What phone do you have?
MSPaint. Lucky me that it's still included in Windows.
@VolumePlus: I've been running the 6.1RC, is it much different than the final?
Sweet. I need to update CyanogenMod so I'll toss this on with it.
Get a URL un-shortener addon.
VOTE: Notepad++ (Windows)
@macron1: Yup, that's because OS X uses a UNIX-style filesystem with "/" being root. The first two slashes are the normal protocol slashes and the second slash is the directory. It would be the same on Linux, BSD, etc.
@silkworm: I really hope this happens. I should become an architect so that I could create symbols out of the vital structural supports.
They're all nice, I like low-key desktops. The thread-preview pic of the Gameboy wouldn't have prevented distraction though, I kept folding and crushing the wallpaper with my mind so that it bent into the shape of the Gameboy.
@johnquinn1985: XBMC has been made for OS X PPC, although not for Linux/PPC. SheepShaver could be used (it's like WINE but for running OS X programs), but looking at the requirements for XBMC I doubt that it would run on the Wii's specs.
@Arnold Qin: Not sure, I'm trying to look into it now. I wish I actually had a Wii :/
@johnquinn1985: Install Linux on the Wii and run an XBMC client, it gets you more nerd-points.
Install Linux on a Wii, use the Wii as a nettop alternative. The price/power is about the same and Wiis are readily available.
@Maave: Um, I don't think that Intel one will work, there's no TV output. Sorry.
@SpriteMV: Maybe remote desktop from your iPhone to your HTPC.
@sahilm: Try this:
That is great. I gotta build this, solder fumes are very annoying.
@Cheesy13: They prepare lots of software in advance, wait for a the release of a new device, then only enable the hidden features on the new device. They restrict the software on old devices to force you to buy a new one.
