I should turn a home server into a heated cat bed.

@soulfinger: It's slow, bloated, requires QuickTime, has terrible DRM (transfers or device failure can easily screw you over), and has no native support for WMA, FLAC, and MKV (must be converted or placed in MOV container). Ogg only has support if you install the necessary files into QuickTime.

@DukeOfPwn: Yes, you can, but default Ubuntu applications might be too resource-intensive for an old phone. I'm in the process of installing Debian now. There's one other Linux-based OS that somebody managed to run on a G1 but I don't remember the name

I wasn't able to load the Android vuln video (screw you Verizon DSL) but I read some other articles and can give a small summary:

VPN or SSH/SSL tunnel bros. If you're on unsecure wifi you might as well go whole-hog and protect everything.

I was expecting chemical analysis and the dissipation of particles within the water, but this guide is good too.

@Lloyd Johnson: He bought it from Race-Buy but I can't find them on the internet anymore. The brand of the panel is eGalax, which I can barely find any info about online aside from drivers and installation help.

Rocking GV on Android with Sipgate and Sipdroid. If Google would make the official GV app work over wifi then I wouldn't need this extra dialer app.

@anitesh.jaswal: That's what I was thinking. You'd need a slingshot-crossbow for a laser sight be to useful.

It looks flat and not very hand-shaped. I imagine lots of hand cramping stemming from overuse.

@AndyMac: Bills are forcing them to keep the job, they can't just up-and-out. They would be out of jobs for quite a while and would have "quit TSA employment" on record, which could make it harder to get a new job.

I will do whatever it takes to live long enough to have the technology to either

@The5thElephant: Those are some good points. It puts a lot of weight on Apple to implement all of those features, I'd have to see how it goes.

@Salacion: And what benefits would this have for the consumer? The point of a SIM card is being able to take it out, without that there's not much benefit of GSM over CDMA.

That is amazing. I can't wait to see it in action.

"Sorry consumers!"

So now they'll have to do tests on the effects of electromagnetic radiation on trees.

Sounds like a bad idea, drivers will race to get in before it goes red and right when it hits green. This would be nice for a video game but would only provoke real drivers.
